Soap nuts are entirely vegetable in nature. They will preserve the sheen and colour of washed clothing, in addition to being safe for all types of fibers. Their antibacterial properties are useful in municipal waste water as well as in septic tanks.<\/p>\n

Place 4 soap nuts in the pouch provided in the box. Directly place it with the rest of the laundry.
\nNuts can be re-used aout 4 times, or until they become grey and limp. To see if the nuts still contain saponin, rub them with your finger with some water. If they lather, you can still use them.
\nIt is not necessary to use fabric softner if it is machine dried. For whiter clothes, add one tablespoon of baking soda.<\/p>\n
Shells can be used for handwashing. Shells are odorless and therefore contain no harmful perfume.
\nIn hard water, it is better to add some baking soda to balance the pH out which will improve the wash\u2019s efficacity.
\nSoap nuts being a vegetable soap without any additives, it is recommended to apply a natural stain remover over the stains before proceeding.
\nWarning : For more delicate clothing or sheets, it is preferable to let the nuts soak a few minutes and only use the liquid so pouch doesn\u2019t get trapped in the sheets.<\/p>\n
